André Miranda was one of the speakers invited by the Portugal Agora platform to participate in the Web-Conference “Acolhedor Portugal: an agenda for new migrations”, which took place on October 18, 2021.

As Portugal is a destination for migrants, it is important to define reception policies that ensure the most basic social rights and rapid cultural and professional integration.

At the event, André Miranda addressed the currently existing legal and institutional barriers and presented some solutions that could facilitate the process of welcoming foreign residents in Portugal.
